A: It is how often, and how well, AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude name your business when someone asks for what you sell. We measure it with fixed buyer questions, asked several times in each engine. Q: Is this different from SEO? A: It builds on SEO. AI engines read the same web and lean on search indexes, so technical SEO is the foundation. A: With the basics, in this order: let the AI crawlers in, make your key pages readable without JavaScript, describe your company in structured data, and make your details the same everywhere.
