GEO agency: generative engine optimization services

What a GEO agency does, what it should show you before you sign, and how we work: fixed buyer questions, five engines, raw answers, fixed prices and no promise of a ranking.

What a GEO agency actually does

The work has three parts. The technical base: AI crawlers allowed in, key pages readable without JavaScript, your company described in structured data, the same details on every profile. The content: direct answers to the questions your buyers ask, in their languages. And the sources: earning mentions in the lists, comparisons, trade press and review sites the engines cite for your category.

Around all three sits the measurement. Without it you cannot tell whether anything changed, and an agency that cannot show you raw answers from before and after is selling a feeling. What GEO is explains the background.

Seven questions to ask any GEO agency before you sign

Which engines do you measure, and how often? Which buyer questions, and are they fixed before the work starts? Can I see a sample report with the raw answers? What exactly do you do each month? Who owns the data when we stop? Can I cancel month to month? And: what do you promise?

The last one decides it. Nobody controls what ChatGPT or Gemini writes, so an agency that guarantees a place in the answer is guessing. The selection guides we read, in English, Dutch and German, all treat a guarantee as a red flag.

How we work

We start with a measurement: 30 buyer questions agreed with you, asked three times each in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. You see who is named instead of you and which sources the engines cite. Then we fix the technical base, write answer pages and work on the sources. Every month we ask the same questions again and send you the raw answers and the trend.

Every check, every weight and the way we measure is public on our method page.

What it costs

Three fixed prices in euros, excluding VAT: the audit at €390 one-off, Done-for-you at €490 a month, Category Leader at €1,450 a month. No setup fees; the monthly plans run three months and then month to month. See pricing for what each one includes.

For companies that cannot afford a wrong answer, ToBeFound Premium adds a 24/7 watch on the answers and a senior team.

Worldwide, in your buyers’ languages

We work remotely for clients in any country. A buyer in Madrid asks in Spanish and gets an answer built from Spanish sources, so we measure and work per market and per language, not only in English.

Who does the work

Simon has worked on search visibility since 2013, first in Google and now in AI answers. The ToBeFound team does the measuring, the fixes and the writing.

Questions about hiring a GEO agency

What does a GEO agency cost?

Published prices in this market run from a few hundred euros for an audit to well over ten thousand a month for enterprise retainers. Ours: €390 for the audit, €490 or €1,450 a month, excluding VAT, on the pricing page.

Can a GEO agency guarantee that ChatGPT names us?

No. Nobody controls the answer. What an agency can promise is the work and an honest measurement. On our Done-for-you plan, month four is free if the measurement shows no progress by day 90.

How long before we see results?

Technical fixes are usually picked up within weeks. Being named takes longer, often months, because the engines need other sources that mention you. Judge the monthly trend, not a single answer.

Do you work with companies outside Europe?

Yes. We work remotely for clients anywhere, and we measure in the languages and markets your buyers use.

Is a GEO agency different from an SEO agency?

The base is the same, because the engines lean on search indexes. The difference is measuring the AI answers and working on the sources they cite. GEO vs SEO vs AEO explains it in full.
